Accessibility statement
A company that sells access should be reachable by everyone. Here is what we have done on this website, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us when we have got it wrong.
This website
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Concretely, on this site:
- Body text is set in Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed by the Braille Institute for readers with low vision, at a base size of 18 px with generous line spacing.
- Every page works with the keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline on every interactive element.
- Every page has a skip link, landmark regions and a single logical heading order.
- Text and interface colours are checked for contrast against their backgrounds.
- Meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Nothing moves, flashes or auto-plays, and motion is reduced further if your device requests it.
- Text reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 320 px, and can be zoomed to 200% without loss of content.
- The site is built as plain HTML and works with JavaScript disabled.
Known limitations
- Some photographs of destinations are supplied by third parties and their descriptions are less detailed than our own. We are replacing these with our own images.
- Any documents we send by email (quotes, itineraries) are currently produced as [format TBD]. Ask and we will send the same information as plain text or large print.
Other formats
Anything on this website is available another way. We will read an itinerary to you over the phone, send it in large print, or email it as plain text. Just ask — there is no charge and no special process.
Our service
Accessibility of the service itself is described in detail on our van and equipment page, and the access notes for each destination are on the tours page. If something about booking, boarding or travelling with us does not work for you, we want to know that too.
Tell us about a problem
If you hit a barrier on this site — or anywhere in dealing with us — contact us and we will fix it and tell you what we did.
